Employment branding is a circular process |
|
Employment branding is a living, breathing process that requires an ongoing commitment. You will constantly need to keep all aspects of your human resources communications on employment brand, focused at all times on the proper message. You need to make sure that you continue to deliver on the implied promise of the employment brand – and adjust or add new programs whenever necessary.
Your employment brand is not a fixed entity. It will continue to evolve and change as conditions in the world and the workplace change. Your corporate goals and recruiting needs will change as well, and your image may need to be adjusted to reflect current realities.
Measures and metrics help refine and direct employment brand-building efforts.
Some of your ongoing measures and reviews will need to take into account the following:
Media coverage and recognition received
Periodic focus groups to assess changing perceptions
Employee entrance and exit interviews
Increase or decrease in applicant flow, which indicates the success of the employment brand
Ongoing benchmarking of rewards, benefits and compensation, to keep ahead of industry standards
