What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Edmonton, AB is looking for a full time Assistant Branch Manager. The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in achieving overall branch growth and profitability, while meeting strategic targets with respect to coaching, business development, recruitment, human resources, team building, employee retention, compliance, operations and financial management. The candidate must promote the firm's corporate image by developing and maintaining business relationships throughout RBC Financial Group and within their respective communities.

What will you do?
  • Daily and monthly supervision of responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing coaching and effectively work with high performing teams to achieve results
  • Resolve daily and strategic issues and consistently seek opportunities to grow the branch
  • Solve difficult problems effectively in a fast paced environment and continuously identify the best solution
  • Maintain effective controls with respect to regulatory and internal requirements
  • All account documentation, including New Account documents approval through the KYC process
  • Review and approve all advertising, marketing and outgoing correspondence prior to distribution to ensure compliance with the current Marketing and Communication policies

  • What do you need to succeed?

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Minimum 5 years of expertise in the Investment Industry
  • Branch Manager license
  • Must have completed the CSC & CPH (Canadian Securities Course and Codes and Practices Handbook)
  • Strong Sales, Team Building, Collaboration and Networking Skills
  • Excellent ability to set priorities, deal with ambiguity, problem solve, set priorities and manage conflict

  • Previous experience as an Investment Advisor
