What is the opportunity?

As a Financial Planner, Investment and Retirement Planning Assistant, you support a top performing Financial Planner, Investment and Retirement Planning in meeting sales objectives and related activities by providing value added administrative service and support. You will focus on proactive contact management with a priority on booking appointments. You will develop relationships with service partners to ensure operational guidelines are adhered to and transactions are processed efficiently.

What will you do?
  • Make proactive client phone calls on behalf of the Investment & Retirement Planner
  • Consistently provide superior responsive service to client e-mail and telephone requests
  • Be familiar with key referral sources and have strong organizational awareness
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to ensure skills and knowledge are up-to-date
  • Consistently provide superior responsive service to client requests in order to build customer loyalty and trust


  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have
  • You should be self-motivated, self-managed and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Strong skills in problem solving and sense of urgency are key in this position, as well as customer service, listening and understanding, achievement/motivation, teamwork and co-operation, initiative and proactivity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Resourcefulness and able to work independently
  • Be extremely well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • You are an energetic and enthusiastic team player who pays attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Marketing Central
  • Knowledge of Royal Bank systems including Sales & Service Platform and RBCNet would be an asset
