Position Summary 

Microserve's Audio Visual (AV) team is growing, and we want to shape and mold the next generation of Audio-Visual professionals to join us during this exciting time. We are looking for Audio Visual Technicians to join us in Edmonton, AB.  

We will provide on-the-job training for the successful candidate. The successful candidate will gain experience in multiple enterprise sized client environments, addressing new tasks and requests each day. You will learn how to perform installation tasks for audio visual projects. 


What you will learn in this role: 

  • How to use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks  

  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints  

  • Perform installation tasks in a timely manner  

  • Projector and screen support structure installations   

  • How to wire AV racks 

  • Test point to point functionality of systems   

  • Review equipment list with customers upon delivery   

  • Travel to various job sites as required   

  • Use of a laptop to troubleshoot and upload/download system programming 

  • Other duties assigned as needed  


What we expect you have:  

  • You can effectively and respectfully communicate with people   

  • You can use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner   

  • You can work and think independently and meet deadlines   

  • You have basic computer knowledge 


Considered an asset but not a deal breaker: 

  • Formal education in Electronics or related field  

  • Experience working in the Information Technology (IT) Sector  

  • Experience as a Technician with an IT organization  



  • Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle (mileage is paid)  

  • Able to work at heights and in confined spaces  

  • Able to work with basic handheld tools  

  • Must be able to lift 60+ lbs.  

  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check
