Backup Production Team Leader

High Prairie, AB

The Backup Production Team Leader is accountable for processing logs into oriented strand board, utilizing and supervising a fully trained crew, exercising proper safety procedures, obtaining acceptable quality standards and maintaining the goals of the Business Unit in the absence of the Production Team Leader.

While not providing coverage for our team leaders, this position is that of general production.

Qualifications:
  • Currently employed by Tolko (any shift) and must have history of working safely, good performance, attendance, etc.
  • Grade 12 education and / or post-secondary, and / or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing operation, preferably in the panel board / OSB industry
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Supervisory experience in an industrial production environment is considered an asset
  • Communication and motivational skills are essential
