Requirements:
- Preference given for possessing one to two years Quickbooks Online skills in an office administration environment
- Must have a sound foundation in basic generally accepted accounting principles including an understanding of the chart of accounts, definitions of assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses, journal entries and accrual-based accounting
- Candidates would ideally have completed a bookkeeping certificate or accounting program at a recognized post-secondary institution
- One to two years prior experience with bank reconciliations, payroll, source deductions, WSIB, HST filing, ROEs and T4 filing
- Superior verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience dealing with clients/customers is preferred
- Ability to learn new software applications quickly
- Ability to self-schedule, document processes, and always be looking for more efficient ways to accomplish goals
- Ability to apply reasoning, decision making and judgement calls
