This position is required to support day to day analytics and associated follow up for the purchasing & inventory management team including but not limited to purchase order compliance to corporate procurement policies and vendor performance management. As a Business Analyst reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be required to:
•Interface with various internal and external parties regarding our network infrastructure build; external parties include material and labor suppliers What YOU Will Do:
•Analyze and communicate material availability
•Expedite materials to support build schedule
•Track and report supplier delivery performance
•Support the program leadership through weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting at various levels and provide performance analysis and insight
•Compliance reporting and follow-up (SOX, corporate procurement policy)Qualifications:What YOU Bring:
•Provide timely reports for management (SLA, KPIs, etc.)
•Work with the stakeholders across the program organization to help define operational performance best practices
•Stay current on internal business processes and systems necessary to support the planning, management and delivery of our program and operations
•Participate in related system implementations and upgrades (may lead UAT activities on behalf of the program)
•Interact with all levels of the program and organization to establish, renew, optimize and retire work processes
•Perform data mining from new and existing data sources
•Respond to Ad-hoc requests in a timely manner
•Procurement and supply operations systems/processes for both material and services Required Skills & Abilities:
•Leadership and negotiations skills
•Familiar with project/network work flow and project systems
•Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and implement activity with minimal direct supervision and with high attention to details
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Must be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills with attention to detail
•Must be a self-starter and show initiative
•Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
•Advanced knowledge of database concepts and design Required Professional Designation/Certification:
•Ability to analyze, manipulate, troubleshoot, and data mine information from within and across various data systems
•Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel & PowerPoint
•Excellent database and system performance tuning skills
•Fluency in SAP 4.7/R3/Material Management module an Asset
•University Degree Required Experience:
•APICS certification (preferred)
•PMAC designation (asset)
•Project Management certification (asset)
•LSS Lean Six Sigma (asset)
•Minimum two (2) years in a similar or related position Location: Who is TELUS?
