Position Overview:

The Health Market Development Director is accountable to drive client business value through competitively differentiated strategies that will enhance the evolution and growth of TELUS' health and life sciences business. The focus will be on:
    •Market insight and relationships that will drive TELUS competitive strategy for accelerated revenue growth •New business solutions to existing clients and targeted new clients •Competitive differentiation through sector-focused integrated solutions that deliver as promised •Influence/direct capital and human resources planning, solution development and partner planning to support client and market growth strategies

What YOU Get to Do...

Responsibilities:
    •Engage, develop and nurture relationships with C-level business executives of target accounts to identify and quantify business problems and deduce opportunities for new offerings •Support sales and marketing by identifying solution and go-to-market gaps which can further differentiate TELUS •Engage TELUS Health and TCS - finance, legal, solutioning, product, services, sales, marketing - in defining new solution bundles •Develop business plans and corresponding business cases for targeted market segments or groups of high value clients •Demonstrate market insight through solution implementation and sustainment •Create and interlock business development plan(s) with solutioning, sales channel and account plans to help the sales channel make the connection between business problem statements and TELUS solutions •Drive, through the responsible sales organization, a strategic sales plan to support the business development focus •Accurate business forecasting, including sales funnel management and sales forecasting •Develop reference accounts for strategic solutions •Provide "on demand" account team capacity for priority business issues and strategic client opportunities •Ontario to British Columbia focus, with national applicability


Qualifications:

    •Healthcare and/or life sciences

Required Skills & Abilities:
    •Excellent communications skills, written and verbal •Ability to think creatively and assemble unique offerings from a plethora of elemental solutions •Ability to develop and manage business, sales and resource plans to achieve market growth through a matrix organization •Ability to understand business problem statements and translate those to technology solution requirements and financial outcomes

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •University Degree

Required Experience:
    •10+ years of equivalent experience •Proven experience and testimonials in establishing relationships with executive client levels •Demonstrated competency to consistently sell consultancy to the boardroom of large accounts
