The Opportunity
Innovate and Lead - In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving strategic growth initiatives while leveraging your expertise in electrical engineering or electrical technology within building projects. You'll identify market opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and contribute to shaping the future of our business. This position can be based from any WSP office in Alberta.
Your Impact
- Identify and pursue potential clients through networking and marketing methods across Alberta.
- Attend seminars and networking events to strengthen WSP's presence in key markets.
- Monitor market trends and explore new avenues for clients and revenue opportunities.
- Develop connections and networking in key sector areas and markets.
- Review and prepare proposals and fee letters, single and multi-disciplinary.
- Collaborate across disciplines for multi-disciplinary proposals.
- Manage key contracts for major clients and act as prime contact within WSP.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
- Assist in the development of project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as required.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve issues to ensure client satisfaction.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, project status, and sales performance.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in business development or technical sales, preferably within building projects or the construction industry.
- Proven project management experience is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Ability to travel to client sites, events, and meetings as required.

Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
