ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Methanex is seeking a Buyer to join the team in Medicine Hat, ABPlease note, this is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of approximately fourteen months through July 2020.

In this role, you will be required to research, evaluate, purchase and expedite delivery of materials/equipment/supplies and services required to meet the needs of Methanex Corporation Medicine Hat, while ensuring that all procurement policies, procedures and standards are followed.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have an undergraduate degree in business or a post-secondary diploma in supply chain management. You will also have at least 3-5 years relevant, progressive experience in a chemical, energy or similar industrial setting. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

This role is best suited for an individual with extremely strong organizational and planning skills. Finally, you will need to be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing information and undertaking creative problem-solving in a collaborative manner.
