Seeking Case Workers and supervisors for the BC Fire Relief effort. $18 - $21/ hour, immediate start

Your new company
Our client, a non-profit, humanitarian organisation, is seeking several Client Case Workers in Calgary, Williams lake, Prince George and Kamloops. Reporting to the Case Management Supervisor, the incumbent will work with individual clients that were affected by the BC Fire disaster, assessing their needs and offering the appropriate assistance program.

Your new role
In this Case Work/Social Work job, you will conduct client needs assessment to determine immediate, short and long-term needs of clients; provide appropriate services as assigned, communicate and report on progress, provide comfort to clients; complete necessary paperwork and maintain confidential files; prepare recommendation for assistance; participate in and contribute to team based case management activities to provide a coordinated effort in meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in the affected community; work with clients to identify gaps in their ability to provide for their basic needs; coordinate referrals to partner agencies and other community based groups or advocate for clients.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this job, we will require you to have 1-3 years' experience in Social Work, counselling or Victim Services or Critical Incident Stress Management fields related experience. An understanding of disaster response would be considered an asset. You will have well-developed listening, assessment, and problem-solving skills. Your communication skills will be exceptional as well as possessing a strong attention to detail, an ability to work well in a team-share environment and be dependable.

What you'll get in return
This contract role will initially start as a 6 month term with the possibility of extension. You will be paid a rate of $18 per hour.
