SUMMARY: \r\n\rMaintain excellent customer service and checkout area for prompt and accurate processing of the customer's order. \r\n\r\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: \r\n\nCUSTOMER SERVICE\n• Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all customers \r\n• Maintains a neat and organized checkout area \r\n• Greets all customers and displays warm demeanor \n• Accurately scans or enters product data \r\n• Accurately accounts for cash and coupon, lottery, and PC Optimum \r\n• Asks for customer's PC Optimum Card during each transaction \r\n• Answers enquiries regarding location of product, rainchecks, refunds, PC Optimum \r\n \r\n\rMERCHANDISING\n• Ensures proper documentation completed with respect to customers receipt and return of goods \r\n• Completes merchandising tasks as directed and maintains efficient flow of merchandise from backroom to sales floor \r\n• Merchandises and maintains designated areas (i.e. facing, signing, labeling, etc) \r\n• Advises appropriate person regarding stock outs/shortages \r\n• Performs stock counts and orders for designated areas \r\n\r\nLOSS PREVENTION\n• Ensures loss prevention Standards are followed \r\n• Controls cash, lottery, and stamp inventory in accordance with prescribed cash handling policies and procedures \r\n• Maintains proper security of cash and merchandise \r \r\n\r\nGENERAL\n• Presents proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines (i.e. clean appearance, approved uniform, name badge) \r\n• \rComplies with all health and safety regulations \r\n• Complies with all store policies and procedures \r\n• Ensures the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained \r\n• Perform other duties as required \r\n• Completes all training and new initiatives on SDMU \r\n\r\nQUALIFICATIONS \r\n• Planning, Judgement and Decision Making \r\n• Balance teamwork and efficiency in processing the customer order \r\n• Organization and neatness \r\n• Cope with register and credit authorization issues \r\n• Determine customer satisfaction \r\n• Efficiency in processing the customer order \r\n• Troubleshoot cash issues \r \r\n\nEXPERIENCE \r\n• Strong computer and register skills \r\n• \rWell organized with ability to record keep \r\n• \rDetail oriented \r\n• Ability to provide a proactive approach in customer service and problem-solving \r\n• Effective verbal and written communication skills \r\n• Ability to work independently \r\n• Ability to function as part of the team in a fast paced environment \r\n• Commitment to providing customer service \r\n\r\nWORKING CONDITIONS \r\n\r• Ability to work flexible shifts which may include nights and weekends \r\n\r\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS \r\n• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds \r\n• Ability to climb ladder \r\n\r\r\nThe above statement reflects the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions and duties as required for proper evaluation of the job and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the job. \n\nJ2WRTLWhy work in a Shoppers Drug Mart store?
