A career in our Accounting and Tax Reporting practice, within Private Company Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help private companies with a range of business advisory services to resolve their day-to-day business issues and to help them achieve long-term success. You will advise clients on their local tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant, and will help them manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. Our team helps our clients with accounting and complex tax reporting. You will focus on planning and executing notice to reader and review engagements; drafting and filing local financial statements; reviewing personal trust and corporate income tax returns, and other tax reporting forms; and will assist with year-end planning and bookkeeping.

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide support with bookkeeping and monthly reporting to small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). Tax expertise is provided by professionals within the group and is not required for this role; This role will require you to act as a contract Controller/Manager of Financial Reporting for multiple small and medium sized businesses (SMB). You will work with the owners/managements of each company to help them understand the current health of their business while planning to optimize their long term growth. You will work as a team of business advisors dedicated to resolving the day-to-day business issues of our clients and helping them achieve long-term success; Oversee all financial and accounting for SMB clients for which PwC provides outsourced finance functions; Work with management/owners to develop and support the company's strategic plans; Monitor the financial performance of the client's company and work collaborative with management to optimize the performance; Prepare annual budgets and track performance; Reviewing monthly management reports and providing useful insight that would be expected of a financial controller; Managing interpersonal relations and building the morale of the team; Responding to queries and requests from our clients; Ensuring that all work is completed and documented in accordance with prescribed standards; Developing the knowledge of junior team members by sharing best practices; Continuously communicating with the Partners with respect to engagement progress; and Maintaining existing client relationship and developing other relationships in the community Requirements: An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work Passion for excellent client service; Relevant experience in public accounting (4-5 years); Strong understanding of business/commercial issues faced by private businesses in various industries; Computer software knowledge (the following would be beneficial - Xero, Quickbooks, Simply Accounting); Flexibility, adaptability, speed, and the ability to handle ambiguity ; Superior communication (oral or written) and interpersonal skills that allow you thrive in a team environment; CPA designation or equivalent is required; Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills; Good project management skills and ability to prioritize; and Accuracy and attention to detail.
