Position Overview:

This positions primary responsibility will be to design & implement Release Automation Solutions for deployment on the TELUS Health Cloud Platform. They will implement and operate Delivery Pipelines with specific work towards the Automation within that pipeline. This is a 24/7 on-call position and will require the candidate to be able to work in this environment.

Responsibilities:
    •Operate and Build Out the TELUS Health Cloud Pipeline
    •Create and keep up to date all operational documentation for the Cloud Pipeline
    •Manage from an operational perspective the Cloud Pipeline
    •Provide assistance as a senior technical expert to the Cloud Operation's Team and Application SRE's
    •Provide guidance and solutions architecture technical experience to teams moving new products into the TELUS Cloud CICD Service and Pipeline


Qualifications:


Required Knowledge:
    •Building Server Images for consumption within our AWS Pipeline
      •Solid understanding of Continuous Delivery principles and tooling
        •Jenkins pipeline, Spinnaker or equivalent pipeline tooling
      •Solid understanding of applying Puppet for server configuration management
        •Windows/Linux Puppet expertise to create modules for hardening, base configuration, splunk, datadog, and app deployment)
      •Baking AMI's
      •CloudFormation
    •Solid understanding and experience in configuration management (Puppet) and associated development languages (Java, Python, Ruby)
    •Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Atlassian Stack)
    •Application and Security Auditing best practices as part of pipeline deployments
    •Change Control Automation through Pipeline Automation knowledge required

Required Skills & Abilities:
    •Advanced hands-on skills operating in Linux and Windows (Centos/Windows Server 2012+)
    •Advanced hands-on skills in AWS Cloud Formations
    •Advanced hands-on skills in AWS products and services
    •Knowledgeable in one or more development/scripting languages (Java, Python, Ruby, etc)

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
    •Puppet Certified Professional an asset
    •AWS Certification

Required Experience:
    •7 to 10 years of progressive IT experience
    •Minimum 5 years of cloud experience
