SCOPE:
This Strategic Data Centre Sales Specialist will be responsible to create new business with key/strategic customers and land these anchor tenants within our Rogers AB Data Centre. Effectively partnering with an existing base of accounts, this sales professional will provide Data Centre and Cloud solutions to their customers through innovative strategic planning. In addition, the Strategic Data Centre Specialist will develop key/strategic business relationships with partners or customers outside the account base within the US and position Rogers Data Centre's as the home for their Canadian operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Use innovative selling techniques and established Data Centre and Cloud product knowledge, to grow business within an existing base of accounts, working collaboratively with ROGERS' direct sales teams.
  • Analyze and pursue new opportunities with direct sales in and outside an assigned territory
  • Engaging with Account Managers and the broader organization including Product, Solution Architects and D C Operations to drive opportunities to meet or exceed your targets
  • Identify Strategic business development opportunities within Canada or cross border
  • Establish relationships with regional partners, system integrators, design and execute strategic partnerships
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline in concert with technology, product and management teams
  • Develop and negotiate contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations to ensure customer and business expectations are met and exceeded
  • Represent the company with a positive attitude and strong work ethic that will maintain a maximum retention rate and manage growth
  • Identify potential clients, opportunities and key buying factors of new customers; formalize those into action plans and go-to-market strategies

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10+ years experience in technology services industry, preferably managing corporate accounts and business development
  • University Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding assigned quotas
  • Domain experience with system integrators Solid understanding of Data Centre, Cloud Computing, IT Sales
  • Sales acumen and a deep understanding of the ecosystem and value chain of customer buying journey
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong strategic planning skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Powerpoint.
  • Domain experience with Systems integrators, VARS, Strategic customers
  • Ability to interface with C level business leads and senior IT leaders
