Part Time Healthcare Security Guard - Cochrane Community Health Centre

We are currently looking for friendly and confident Security Professionals to work at the Cochrane Community Health Centre. Healthcare Security can be a physically and emotionally demanding role, requiring strong communication, empathy, customer service, and critical thinking skills. Security Professionals are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for healthcare staff, patients, visitors, and the public.

This position is part time, working every Saturday and Sunday from 1500 to 2330 hours.

Pay rate: $21.93/hour

A day in the life of a Healthcare Security Guard:

While your duties will vary throughout your shift, you can expect to perform the following tasks in this role:

• Provide access control in and out of the facility, as well as within restricted areas of the site
• Monitor and respond to incidents identified around the property, including through CCTV systems
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, monitoring for risks such as unlocked doors, blocked entrances or exits, mechanical issues, hazardous materials, and general security breaches
• Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance
• Investigate and document incidents and irregularities identified during the course of your duties
• Monitor patient safety and provide support to staff as required
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and professional presence

Valid Alberta Security License
