Based in Prince George, Taylor Professional Driving is licensed under ICBC according to the Motor Vehicle Act of British Columbia, training Class 1,2,3 & 4 at all levels from basic to advanced, including highway hauling, off-highway driving, log truck, lowbed training and the Defensive Driving Course.

About the Opportunity

Taylor Professional Driving is currently seeking an ICBC Certified Driving Instructor in Prince George, BC. Please note that this is a permanent role which requires you to be based in Prince George. 

Spending most of your time actively training, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Orientation, safety and pre-trip training with students
  • 1 on 1 in truck Class 1 driving instruction according to ICBC Class 1 curriculum.
  • Co-operating with the maintenance team to schedule truck maintenance
  • Attending training courses as required
  • Teaching Airbrake Endorsement Courses

For this role, we're seeking a fully licensed ICBC Certified Driving Instructor. Experience will be considered an asset but recent graduates will also be considered.  

Our ideal candidate will also possess:

  • A clean Drivers abstract
  • A high level of oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with a multi-cultural organization (Asset)
  • A diligent work ethic and the ability to work overtime as required
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • A professional attitude

Most importantly, we're seeking a certified and hard-working professional who has an excellent work ethic and a willingness to learn new things. As a diligent and reliable professional, you'll demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude and be capable of working independently and solving problems. 

Throughout your time with Taylor Professional Driving, you must be willing to complete professional programs as necessary, in order to teach additional courses so as to stay competitive with the ever-changing market.
