Responsibilities

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Our people are recognized as experts in a wide range of industries, and we draw on expertise across the PwC network in delivering effective solutions for our clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with clients and target companies to understand their views, needs, and services to be provided in connection with their financial or operational situation
  • Financial baseline and forecast review
  • Performing cash flow modelling and sensitivity analysis
  • Strategic planning with business case and scenario modelling
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations and/or reports for key stakeholders
  • Helping clients' management teams develop and implement turnaround plans to maintain stakeholder support
  • Taking a "hands-on" role to manage stakeholders and lead change
  • Although your primary focus area will be the Corporate Advisory and Restructuring practice, there is an expectation that the successful candidate will work across multiple service offerings within our Deals practice as client demands change.


  • Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or graduate-level business degree;
  • A professional accounting designation, or international equivalent (preference will be given to a CA/ CPA designation);
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional services or business advisory environment;
  • Specific financial restructuring, operational restructuring or insolvency experience, including pursuing or holding the CIRP designation provided by the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) or other similar certification;
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to prepare and evaluate detailed, functional financial models and projections in Excel;
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and report writing skills, including experience with court reports and complex deliverables;
  • Effective project management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail;
  • The ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally will also be expected in this role.


  • Please note that this role does not support completion of the Canadian CPA designation.
