What you will do

The growing Business Law group of KPMG Law LLP is looking for a confident and determined corporate and commercial Associate Lawyer to join its team in our Calgary office. Our Business Law group provides legal advice with respect to corporate reorganizations, private mergers and acquisitions, general corporate and commercial matters and corporate finance.

What you bring to the role

  • 3-5 years of post-call related corporate commercial experience gained from a reputable law firm or in-house (will also consider candidates with longer post-call years of experience)
  • Broad corporate, commercial experience and proficiency
  • M&A transactional experience for private or public companies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and a practical and pragmatic style toward providing expert legal solutions
  • The ability to balance the demands of an emerging practice
  • Exposure to tax reorganizations and drafting trusts will also be considered an asset

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a keen interest to deliver practical results, excellent academic records and will be expected to consistently deliver timely, high quality legal advice.
