The Customer Relationship & Solutions Management team is seeking a Customer Systems Engineering Specialist to join a dynamic pre-sales engineering team, supporting both mid-market and enterprise customers.

The Customer Systems Engineering Specialist will interface with the sales organization to perform business needs assessment, product demonstrations, whiteboard discussion, opportunity qualification, and solution design and proposal development.

TELUS Business Solutions (TBS) & Customer Relationship & Solutions Management (CRSM)

TBS and CRSM provides end-to-end sales, marketing, and post-sales business customer support from British Columbia (BC) and Alberta (AB).

Our Sales team is dedicated to supporting business customers in Western Canada. We help connect our customers with industry-leading technology solutions to create opportunities and solve business challenges across both public and private sectors and across various segments.

Our Marketing team leads product marketing for most of our wireline business solutions, strategic alliances and support for sales tools, and analytics. The team also oversees regional customer marketing.

The CRSM team provides customer solutions architecture, deal pursuit, solutions delivery, customer care, and operations support for TELUS business customers across all segments.


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Strong cross-domain information security knowledge including Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC), security policy, and security infrastructure solutions with specialization in at least 2 security domains •Strong knowledge of technical security controls and trends in the industry including varied delivery models on premise, hosted, and cloud •Solid understanding of, and experience with, enterprise scale integrated Information Technology (IT) security solutions such as those involving: multi-site implementation, local area network (LAN)/wide area network (WAN)/security interoperability, dynamic routing protocols, and failover and high availability systems •Network security infrastructure including firewall, VPN, network IPS, Web proxy, e-mail, DLP, AAA, wireless, and design and architecture •Data and endpoint security including AV, HIPS, firewall, encryption and DLP, concepts, and design and architecture •Security analytics and reporting solutions including log management, security information and event management (SIEM), and threat intelligence •Ability to uncover and understand business requirements through a consultative process •Ability to navigate ambiguity, clearly communicate risks, anticipate challenges, seek clarification, and set clear expectations with customers and internal stakeholders •Excellent technical writing, design consultation and presentation skills •Ability to articulate both business and technical value of information security solutions •Ability to work with limited supervision in a competitive environment •Post-secondary degree or technical diploma in Engineering or Computer Science •Possess 2 or more security vendor certifications such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Meraki, HP, Intel Security, Juniper, and/or Check Point •Industry recognized certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and/or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) from SANS Institute, and/or Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) from Cloud Security Alliance (CSA)
