Expected Salary Range: $70,177.00 - $87,722.00 - $109,652.00

The Team

We instill public trust by ensuring the highest standards of fairness & integrity in gaming, that gambling operations are conducted in compliance with industry regulations, safeguard our players from potential money laundering activities, player privacy breaches and provide corporate security, support player and operational safety, player privacy and data governance. Our Legal, Compliance & Security group is at the forefront of it all.

Our Data Governance team manages the availability, usability, quality & integrity of enterprise-critical data within an organization. We implement policies, procedures and standards to promote that data is effectively governed throughout its lifecycle. We're a group of highly experienced, focused and passionate individuals committed to building the data governance practice at BCLC.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Data Quality Analyst helps maintain and improve the quality of data by establishing standards for data entry, validation and maintenance. This promotes that the organization has accurate and reliable information to make informed decisions and lead us into the Machine Learning age.

What you will accomplish
  • You will define, implement and use predictive data quality rules to provide a fast and elegant way to manage data sets by learning through observation, not human input
  • You will use Collibra's best in-class Data Quality & Observability platform for the creation of data quality rules for AI algorithms, building and training the model and conducting root cause analysis for data quality issues
  • You will conduct ongoing monitoring and administration of the Master Data Management backlog, evaluating records needing human review to link player records across various sources
  • You will build collaborative relationships with stakeholders throughout our business as the subject matter expert and guardian to promote enterprise data is accurate and collaborate with the data governance group and business technology teams to make corrections as required
What will make you successful
  • You have an in depth understanding of Collibra's class leading data quality & observability platform and fluent in data governance and data quality principles
  • You are experienced with SQL, able to develop SQL statements to profile and monitor data quality, profiling and discovery
  • You have demonstrated experience in conducting root cause analysis
  • You are able to analyze and interpret complex data sets, think critically, conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions as needed
  • You are a communicator, able to build relationships, provide guidance and collaborate with various levels of stakeholders across the business
  • You are a self starter, able to manage your own time and priorities, act with a high attention to detail and have a strong ethical compass

  • You have a strong understanding of process flows and are comfortable with process documentation
  • You look at things through a business lens and make recommendations that works for the business
