The National Equipment and Standards Engineering (NESE) team under Wireless DevOps team is a creative and dynamic environment that encourages team members to work, think and learn "out of the box". Your natural creativity paired with passion for technology will blend itself well to the technology design of TELUS' Radio Access Networks (RAN) within the NESE team. You will set standards, best practices, and influence the transformation of our RAN technology evolution towards 5G, thus shaping our future in wireless communications. Here's how
•Lead the development of equipment and cabling architecture to support TELUS' In-building program including buildings, arenas and stadiums in a cost effective manner
•Collaborate with In-building RF Design and Capacity teams to create scenarios, guidelines, and best practices for In-building projects
•Lead the tools and automation program by applying automation and data science concepts to drive operational efficiencies as we evolve to 5G
•Translate and simplify technical requirements into business impacts and vice versa, and present the findings and recommendations to peers and leader
•Issue detailed equipment engineering documentation (including RAN, Power, rack layout, floor plan) and provide technical support to implementation, RSC and RF operations teams
•Cultivate strong, collaborative partnerships with other teams, including Strategy and Product Development teams to understand new technologies and services and ultimately succeed in an evolving and competitive business environment Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Can-do attitude with a growth mindset, who is always willing to learn new things and embrace changes
•Solid understanding of RAN hardware architecture specifically Huawei's lamp site and Ericsson Dot solutions bringing industry experience to the team
•Cherished for your solid knowledge on LTE RF design, optimization and capacity management
•Respected for your ability to program web based application in .NET (C# and VB.Net) environment and leverage data science concepts to solve complex business problems using Python
•Excellent presentation and data analytical skills
•Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering
•3 - 5 years of experience in RAN (RF Design, Performance, or Capacity) related roles Great-to-haves
•P. Eng with provincial engineering organization
•Lean six sigma based process improvement skills
