The Content Services Development team is a diverse, high performing DevOps team who deliver exceptional Video On Demand (VOD) experience for our valued customers. Our team is responsible for the development, standardization, and daily operation of solutions used to deliver VOD and file based content to our TV platforms, as well as a number of up and coming Smart Cities video solutions. We take pride in being agile and highly adaptable to evolving technologies while concurrently providing thoughtful technology leadership that will benefit our customers and market growth.

As a DevOps Engineer, your technical expertise and creativity will support the evolution of Smart technology as a key enabler in achieving sustainable and livable cities. Making informed decisions about which technologies best support a city's overall development strategy depends on establishing the right governance and identifying the most suitable technical concepts.

Your meaningful data insights and thought leadership will influence key business decisions made by senior leaders. Your contributions will directly impact the collection models designed to improve overall service quality.

You will collaborate with diverse team members and internal stakeholders who will support you to solve complex problems and offer feedback when you introduce new ideas, concepts or practices. This is an opportunity to not only leverage your skills and capabilities but enhance them and grow new ones.

    •Providing technology leadership by seeking, researching and evaluating the latest technologies used to collect and manage the smart cities video solutions •Delivering quality excellence by facilitating, developing and implementing proactive measures, processes, practices and changes, to support Smart Cities video solutions •Leveraging your DevOps skills to build and implement DevOps practices •Fostering strong team engagement and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners •Influencing the evolution of Smart Cities video solutions by creating and delivering presentations based on data, facts and insights that tells a clear story to peer groups, vendor partners and senior leaders


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Science or similar discipline •Respected for your in-depth working knowledge of Video encoding / transcoding technologies and platforms •Regarded as possessing advanced skills in networking (TCP/IP), computing (Python, Linux), and related technologies •Known for your troubleshooting, fault isolation and defect resolution skills •Appreciated as strong communicator who is collaborative and able to influence diverse stakeholders including senior leaders •Recognized for your high degree of curiosity, innovative thinking, sharing of knowledge, and mentoring and coaching other team members •Noted for your exceptional analytical skills and judgment when making and owning technically strategic decisions

    •Advanced comprehension of Internet Protocols (IPs) - IPV4 & IPV6 including but not limited to Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/IP, Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP), Multicast, HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols, Internet routing and firewalls •Direct experience on how to leverage network functions virtualization (NFV) & software-defined networking (SDN) for the purpose of network and supporting infrastructure optimization •Knowledge of Origin Server operations, standards, concepts and network architecture •Cloud platform experience with Microsoft, Amazon, Google
