As a Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplinesBuilding strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectorsIdentifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunitiesResponsibility for a majority of day to day client communicationsResponsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteriaManage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the teamResponsibility for management of engagement financialsHelping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coachingBusiness Development and Client Relationship Management
Stay abreast of key industry developments both within Canada and globally; Lead pursuit teams and proposal development including innovative approaches and methodologies tailored to address specific client requirements. A track record of managing the sales cycle and leading a team through business development activities.
Engagement Delivery and Management
Manage the end to end delivery (including project economics) of multiple front office consulting projects comprising of multiple resources and teams. Ensure the quality of deliverables and that clients are satisfied with the work. Critique client's strategies with a focus on revenue growth and operational execution; Understand the operational implications of client's strategies; Assess operational readiness for the rollout of new products and services; Document, re-design and implement operational processes - for example ordering, billing, network and field operations, and finance business unit reporting; Develop costing frameworks / costing and forecasting models / business case; Communicate complex material effectively in written and oral formats to various audiences; Manage an engagement team to the production of quality deliverables on time and on budget and in line with client expectations and internal standards;
Oversee the development of goals, objectives and focus areas for other staff; Support team activities to foster an environment of collaboration and success; Connect across the PwC global network to share experiences and apply global ideas to our Canadian client base; Requirements: An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.
A minimum of 8years' experience in a leading management consulting firm, demonstrating knowledge of strategy, operations and technology used in asset-intensive clients to serve their customers and stakeholders.
It is important to be able to have credibility with clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge in one or more of the EUMI industry and operational functions.
Proven success in building relationships with Energy and Utility stakeholders, secondary Mining.
Experience working in or managing projects in one or more of the following areas would be an asset: Asset Lifecycle Management, Mobility, Analytics, Capital Projects, Cyber Security, IoT.
Experience managing or delivering large business and IT transformations and full life-cycle projects would be an asset (SAP ERP/EAM or Maximo, Salesforce)
Proven track record of managing and delivering significant business results that reflects strategic and creative thinking, individual initiative and motivating teams.
Ability to develop and manage strategic client relationships while providing the highest quality client work across multiple client projects.
Demonstrated capability in thought leadership, new business development and securing project extensions, including client lead maturation, proposal development, and closing new business opportunities.
Completed Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is preferred.
Candidates should be prepared to travel (10% to 50%).
