Position Overview

In our highly dynamic, fast-paced B2B environment, with your proven track record of solving customer business problems with innovative solutions in the private health benefits management sector, you will develop and execute a product portfolio business plan on designated Business Development opportunities. Your success with our customers contributes to our growth strategies and ensures we lead the market with thought leadership and a premier sales force.

Responsibilities
    •Assume responsibility for the strategic direction of our entire Health Benefits Solutions suite of applications and services •Build and lead a team of product managers •Conduct market and customer research in support of developing the roadmap and product strategy •Document concepts for new products or enhancements to meet existing or anticipated market needs •Initiate and prioritize development projects
      •Plan, develop and communicate the strategy for product launches and initial forecasts •Track sales, costs, margins and effects on product revenues •Conduct continuous product life cycle modelling and tracking
    •Define and analyze product performance metrics and implement corrective measures as warranted in order to meet targets •Contribute to leadership
      •Engage customers and encourage customer participation in product launch initiatives and other events
    •Ensure continuous technological watch •Conduct competitive analyses, track industry-wide activity and trends and determine required changes in the product, operations or go-to-market strategies to improve our competitiveness •Establish product direction for existing products, including product extensions and additional target markets •Work with sales and marketing to create product positioning, messaging and collateral, and to stimulate sales activities •Develop, execute and maintain product business and capital spend plans that provide current market information, including sales and gross profit margin history, year-to-date (YTD) actuals and projections, key market positioning, sales channels and competitive strategies, pricing, market share, product life cycle plans and evolution plans


Qualifications:


Required Skills & Abilities
    •Strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and fluency in high-level business discussions •Excellent teamwork skills •Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum) an asset •Experience with SaaS or web-based applications an asset •Ability to work with remote teams •Freedom to travel without restriction •Bilingualism (English and French) preferred but not essential

Required Designation/Certification
    •Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences an asset •Diploma in business administration

Required Experience
    •More than 10 years of experience in health benefits management industry •Experience within specialty drug market •Experience directly leading a drug product portfolio for three to five years within insurer or related claims paying entity •Experience in the field of health care a major asset
