We are the Customer Network Implementation group that supports the growth, expansion and capacity augmentation of our wireline network (Fibre & Copper) through exploration, innovation and fanatic discipline to drive implementation, field delivery and network support. We set the foundation for superior customer experiences and growth in our customer base through industry leading speed and connectivity.

In this exciting Director - Project Management Office role, you will be responsible for the execution of our broadband strategy across Western Canada, inclusive of end-to-end program delivery across multiple streams of activities. You will manage $800M+ annual capital budget to drive Fibre network expansion, augmenting network capacity and safeguarding all existing infrastructure during local construction projects. You will lead a diverse team of talented program managers, professionally trained data analysts and project managers providing guidance and direction related to the fundamental infrastructure, and technology and provisioning of TELUS' national telecommunications network. You will also help transform customer experience, field delivery and network quality and reliability metrics. You will play an instrumental role in negotiations with external engineering and construction labour suppliers and material vendors, as well as manage new service introduction and technological advances.

You are a dynamic, collaborative, and driven leader with a proven track-record of business planning, capital management, strategic thinking, creative mindset, delivering operational performance and leading large cross-functional teams. You will play a leadership role in the planning and execution of our capital plans and efficiency programs, as well as leading and supporting a team in a transformational journey of process, tool and system optimization.

    •Accelerate industry leading speed & connectivity - you will help us execute on the most appropriate solution for connectivity by balancing the capital investment between fibre and copper to create the most competitive strategy to win in the market
    •Support cash flow efficiency - you will have the opportunity to leverage the size of the capital investment and annual operational expense, budget management and cost efficiency are critical elements of your function

Experience and education
    •Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience •Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a senior management position, including leading geographically dispersed/virtual teams •PMP or P.Eng designation or equivalent design
