Join our Environmental team in Edmonton, Alberta, where you'll contribute to meaningful work supporting environmental monitoring, assessment, remediation and reclamation projects across Western Canada. This role is ideal for early-career professionals excited by field work, data collection, and hands-on learning in the upstream oil and gas sector.

Your Impact

In this role, you will:
  • Assist with delivering Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, as well as remediation and groundwater monitoring programs.
  • Conduct field assignments independently or as part of a team, ensuring accurate sampling, documentation, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with project managers, scientists, contractors, and field personnel to execute environmental tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Collect, record, and manage field data following industry standards and WSP protocols.
  • Communicate with clients, laboratories, government partners, and service providers regarding project logistics and findings.
  • Contribute to clear, well-structured technical reports that support client and regulatory decisions.
  • Champion safe work practices by implementing WSP and client safety expectations in all field and office activities.
  • Support additional environmental tasks as needed to advance project objectives.

The Skills That Set You Apart

You're someone who brings:
  • A university degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with remediation or reclamation in the upstream oil and gas industry (an asset).
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental guidelines and directives.
  • Strong soil characterization and vegetation identification abilities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in dynamic field environments.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of fieldwork and willingness to travel as project work requires.

Compensation

Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $48,700 - $65,500
MB & ON: $44,500 - $62,100
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $44,000 - $59,300
