ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Methanex is currently seeking a Facilities and Labourer Coordinator - Turnaround to join the team in Medicine Hat on a full-time basis. Please note, this is a temporary position with an anticipated commencement of July 2019 and an anticipated duration of approximately thirteen months.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing and maintaining all temporary facilities coordination for the plant site related to the 2020 Turnaround. This includes transportation and parking facilities, temporary trailers, fabric tents, washrooms and other Turnaround facility requirements

In addition, you will be responsible for leading a team of labourers to support the execution of Turnaround work, as well as maintenance and cleaning of TAR facilities.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have a Trade qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience in construction combined with 5 years experience working on a petrochemical (or similar) industrial site.

You will also possess the following competencies:

  • Experience with general construction activities, labourer workforce management and building maintenance.
