Reporting to the Tam Lead Facilities, Teck Digital Systems, the primary task of the Facilities Analyst, will be supporting and improving Teck's data centers, implementing new standards and ensuring optimal uptime as these data centers are the central nervous system for all enterprise data.
Working closely with other operations and teams to facilitate data center operational excellence, by implementing monitoring solutions, advanced troubleshooting and providing design standards for future developments of Teck's Data Centers and IDF's. A good agile facilities analyst is keen to get their hands dirty, and actively helps the team to solve the biggest problems. This individual is an executor as well as the visionary force behind the technical solution.

Responsibilities :
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Consulting and working very closely with various business stakeholders to develop, design and maintain data center systems.
  • Develop, implement and manage maintenance plan schedules
  • Provide rotational after hours facility support for all of our enterprise operations
  • Coordinate & supervise vendor access for site service calls
  • Guide project teams on DC design and deployment strategies
  • Deploy, support, and optimize highly scalable, fault tolerant data centers
  • Optimize new and already provisioned solutions for availability, scalability, security and cost
  • Drive adoption of validated solution templates across the organization
  • Challenge the status quo and seek new and better ways of solving technical problems

Qualifications :
  • Experience with data center operations support and design
  • Strong understanding of data center technologies, specifically electrical, cooling, space, and requests for moves
  • Experience with installing physical servers/storage, networking hardware and cabling of new systems
  • Experience managing technical priorities within the backlog
  • Excited about trying new solutions outside standard approved
  • Lead technical customer engagements
  • Excellent problem solving skills in resolving issues with complex data center systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate within a distributed team as well as other departments at all levels of the organization
  • Embraces a culture of trust and complete transparency
