Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Dam Construction (Tailings and Water Retention)

This is an opportunity be a part of a long-term construction project with an established EPCM. With the title of Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will also be the Lead QA and a key member on site liaising with various stakeholders, to monitor the day to day field construction activities. This will require you to be the technical expert but also the Quality Assurance inspector which will include the implementation of health and safety protocols.

On this construction mine site project, you will need to show a good understanding of ground controls elements, installation and the QA/QC requirements to facilitate the construction of the tailings and water retaining structures. Mentoring and training junior to intermediate technical staff members will also be a part of this opportunity. Therefore, really giving you the full scope of autonomy to make this project your own.

For a successful application, you must have a BSc in Civil/ Geotechnical Engineering along with the P.Eng status. With the success of this role being reliant on not only the technical expertise but also effective communication skills, you will be assessed on oral, verbal and presentation skills. Extensive experience of tailings and water retention dam construction is required.
