What will your typical day look like?

1. Identify Financial Opportunities:
  • Engage with clients to meticulously identify expenses eligible for government incentives, including SR&ED tax credits and subsidies.
2. Determine and Compile Eligible Expenses:
  • Conduct a detailed analysis, determining and compiling eligible expenses with precision and compliance.
3. Optimize Claim Preparation:
  • Craft and optimize incentive claims, maximizing financial benefits for clients while ensuring program criteria adherence.
4. Lead Audit Defense Strategies:
  • Proactively navigate audit complexities, strategically representing clients and safeguarding their interests during audit processes.
5. Build Deep Client Relationships:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, fostering enduring client connections beyond transactions, understanding their unique financial needs.
6. Drive Sales and Strategic Consultation:
  • Challenge yourself with complex projects, actively participating in sales initiatives, and providing strategic financial consultation.
7. Evolve into a Trusted Business Advisor:
  • Embrace challenges and opportunities, progressing towards becoming a trusted business advisor. Gain a broad view of business challenges and solutions beyond SR&ED.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

  • Self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis)
  • A University degree in accounting or finance, or a bachelor's degree in accounting with 3 to 5 years of specific experience in preparing SR&ED tax credit claims.
  • The ability to understand financial data, articulate it clearly, and highlight key items crucial to incentive claims.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to convey complex information quickly, persuasively, and concisely.
  • The capability to work independently within a high-performance team, ensuring effective collaboration and contribution.
  • Excellent project management skills, allowing you to navigate complex processes and deadlines efficiently.
  • Genuine interest in business and industrial processes, with a keen eye for uncovering financial opportunities.
  • A CPA designation is an asset, showcasing your commitment to excellence in the field.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $116,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
