Position Overview:Reporting to the Global Mobility & Operational Technology Services Manager, the Global Mobility Services Engineer will lead the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of all Finning iOS and Android managed devices and MDM platforms.

The position partners with both technical and business teams on initiatives to collaborate and deliver new features and enhancements for both traditional phone and warehouse-based mobile devices. The role oversees upgrades and maintenance activities and resolves escalated service or problem issues with other teams and operational users.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
  • Architect, design, and implement enterprise Microsoft Intune solutions with expert skills in Identity, Authentication, Administration, and Implementation. Provide strategic guidance to optimize service delivery of Finning's software services globally. Liaise with regional IT infrastructure teams to unify service architecture. (35%)
  • Provide technical expertise and act as a testing resource for regional support issues involving Intune, SOTI, Jasper Portal, Portal company, Apple BMgr, Simplex, or other EPS software services. (20%)
  • Analyze the design and assist various projects in implementing new technologies that integrate or inter-operate with existing software services and features. Ensure 3rd party products are integrated optimally with core infrastructure items. (5%)
  • Provide coaching to technical analysts and systems analysts. (15%)
  • Communicate with stakeholders on tenant additions and changes from Microsoft Intune and SOTI that may impact their accountabilities and remediate any concerns raised. (10%)
  • Support various business initiatives by creating documentation and support procedures for projects that utilize software services and other Employee Productivity Services (EPS) related software services. (15%)
  • Ensure Digital & IT teams can test new "edge" products without impacting production systems. Please support their efforts in finding differentiating services
  • Indirectly lead technical support and systems analysts on best practices of administrating and maintaining critical systems such as Intune, SOTI, and Apple BMgr
  • Accountable for all technical support incidents and requests regarding Microsoft Intune & MDM platforms
  • Accountable for representing EPS M&OT team in any major IT incidents (including after-hours support)


Accountability:

Global accountability for Mobility and Operation Technology (M&OT) Services duties related to:
  • M&OT tech roadmap build
  • Mobile apps launching using MDM platforms
  • MDM Management (SOTI, Intune, and other MDM platforms Ownership)
  • Administration of tools (Intune, SOTI, Jasper Portal, Corporate Portal, Apple BMgr & SIMPLEX)
  • SEC/TIS/BAS integration
  • Mobile apps launching using MDM platforms
  • M&OT Policy & Standards definition
  • M&OT Research and Development of new mobility technologies


Global accountability for managing all ServiceNow activities related to:
  • Incidents Tier 3/Major Incidents/Problems/Change Req
  • RFID / IoT / VR / AR / AMR support


Education & Experience:
  • 6+ years' experience administering Microsoft's Intune
  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in a related IT field
  • 4+ years' experience in a senior engineering role
  • Advanced understanding and hands-on experience on support and administration of Microsoft Intune, Apple BMgr, and Service Now
  • Sound understanding of certificate management for end user Mobility devices
  • Able to identify impacts to online services caused by upcoming or recently implemented Intune, SOTI, Jasper Portal, Portal company, Apple BMgr, and Simplex
  • Sound understanding of network services such as Wi-Fi authentication
  • Sound understanding of certificate management for end user Mobility devices
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft security standards and best practices
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft's Enterprise Mobility & Security suite, including Data Loss Prevention and Azure Rights Management
  • Solid understanding of ITIL change management processes
  • Keeping up to date with the latest end-user computing Mobility & Warehouse operations technologies and trends
  • Speaking and writing Spanish is an asset but not required

  • Able to create new solutions and/or review proposals to ensure solutions meet business needs
  • Technical aptitude, depth of experience, and willingness to continually stay abreast of new technologies
  • Able to manage time effectively and work independently with limited supervision.
