The Company is diversified, ethical and committed to their employees, customers, shareholders, and partners. They operate both truck/shovel and dragline pits for coal removal, exporting majority of bituminous coal to customers in the Asian markets.
Your new role
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will perform maintenance, repairs and installations to mobile and ancillary equipment in an open-pit mining setting. You will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, also entering required information into the maintenance database. In addition you will adhere to health and safety regulations, constructively participating in safety meetings, and incident investigations.
What you'll need to succeed
As a successful candidate, you will have your Journeyman / Red Seal in Heavy Duty Mechanics with minimum 2 years' experience working in an open-pit mine setting; experience working on Shovels (hydraulic/electric), Haul Trucks, Dozers, Loaders and Fuel Trucks required. You will be safety oriented, have a clean driving record, have a positive attitude with a team-player mentality.
