Position Overview: This position is responsible for the field maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar engines and auxiliary equipment, specifically in the power systems industries. This is including (and not limited to) Drilling, Well Service, Electric Power Generation and Gas Compression sectors.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:
  • Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs
  • Interface with customers, products and sales support
  • Working with the supervisor on various tasks
  • Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
  • Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
  • Various related duties as required

**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement**

Specific Skills & Knowledge:
  • Dedication to safety
  • Team player
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset

Education & Experience:
  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician in the above mentioned industries
  • Completion or be in the process of completing Finning S-level courses would also be considered an asset

  • Valid drivers license
  • Must submit a successful Driver Abstract contingent to being selected for position

Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
