A large mining operation in West- Central Alberta is in need of a Heavy Duty Mechanic
Your new company
As Canada's largest diversified resource company, the organization is dedicated to responsible mining and mineral development. They are North America's largest producer of steel making coal with six steel making coal operations. You will have the opportunity to work as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in one of their largest mine in West Central Alberta.
Your new role
Your new role allows you to have work/life balance with an attractive 4/4 rotation with 2 days shifts, 24 hours short change, then 2 night shifts, followed by 4 consecutive days off. The operations use a conventional open pit truck and shovel mining methods and you will have the opportunity to work on a fleet of some of the world's largest equipment.
What you'll need to succeed
As a successful candidate, you will have your Red Seal certification in Heavy Duty Mechanics or Heavy Equipment Technician. Ideally you will have experience working in an Open-pit Mine on large-scale earth-moving mining equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, haulers and shovels. You will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be a great team-player.
