We're looking for qualified heavy-duty mechanics to troubleshoot, maintain and repair a variety of Caterpillar open pit mining equipment.

If you're a certified Journeyperson "Offroad" Heavy Equipment Technician who's self-motivated to learn, can work alone and be a team player, detail-oriented, safety conscious, excels at troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment with pride, then you're exactly what we're looking for.

Job Description:
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and perform equipment repairs
  • Interface with customers, products and sales support
  • Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
  • Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
  • Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
  • Various related duties as required

Specific Skills & Experience
  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
  • Dedication to safety
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
  • Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
  • Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Lawson, SIS (Service Information System) and warranty systems considered assets

  • This shop position is on a 14x14 day/night shift rotation based out of our Mildred Lake facility
  • Hourly rate: $51.36 - $53.76 / hour
  • Camp or LOA available
  • 12% Regional Wage Allowance
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package
  • Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement
