YOUR NEXT ROLE WITH E-CONSTRUCTION

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to be based in Fort McMurray, Alberta

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on a wide variety of road construction equipment, while reducing equipment downtime and minimizing repair costs.

Our ideal candidate will be an accredited Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic and a have a clean, class 5 drivers licence. A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.

You will also possess:

  • Knowledge of standard practices, tools, equipment and materials used to maintain and repair motor vehicles and engines.
  • An understanding of mechanical components, hydraulics, computerized controls and electronics.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination
  • The ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions
  • Mathematical reasoning

Most importantly, you will have demonstrated professionalism, communication skills, sense of urgency to meet deadlines,  and a positive "can do" attitude. We are looking for candidates with the potential and desire to grow their career with E-Construction, as there is great potential to move into senior management for the right candidate.
