Job Skills / Requirements

This is a challenging and dynamic assignment for an individual who is self-motivated, has the ability to manage a variety of assignments and is seeking a career advancement opportunity.

Primary duties will include:

• Receive and allocate incoming mail and redirect calls and inquiries to appropriate employees

• Assist with following up for site requirements for existing/ new officers

• Organize meeting logistics to ensure all necessary materials and equipment have been prearranged

• Provide administrative support as required

• Maintain phone lists and a filing system

• Manage the office inventory of equipment and supplies through the use of spreadsheets and inventory software

• Manage uniform storage and ordering

• Assist with entry screening for interviews

• Respond to public inquires with a high level of professionalism

• Other duties as required, subject to change as necessary

The successful candidate should have:

• Administrative experience and/ or appropriate education in Office Administration and/ or Human Resources (i.e., certificate, diploma, degree)

• A valid Alberta Security License

• A valid class 5 (minimum, no GDL)

• Proven maturity to effectively handle and prioritize competing demands with short deadlines

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Pleasant telephone etiquette and outstanding customer service skills

• High regard for accuracy and attention to detail

• Significant experience with Microsoft Office

• A proven attendance record

• An ongoing interest in training and personal development
