Methanex is currently seeking an Instrument/Electrical Engineer to join the team in Medicine Hat on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will work within codes of practice and engineering guidelines to design and/or coordinate instrumentation, control systems and electrical projects through the project stages of research, estimating, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

You will also provide technical expertise to the site in instrumentation, electrical and control/safety systems. This position has the potential for growth into a leadership position.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have an Undergraduate degree in industrial controls engineering and electrical systems with a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation (or in progress) through the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). The successful candidate will also have five to eight years’ experience in project management and control systems technology and a demonstrated proficiency in electrical controls systems, i.e. motor control, distribution, Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
