What YOU Will Do:

The Sales Specialist ll of Internet of Things (IoT) works with senior customer executives to help their organization accelerate business transformation through the implementation of new Cloud-based technologies and digital processes. Your IoT portfolio involves 3 key solution sets:
    •End-to-end applications centered on IoT devices, networks and analytics capabilities •Automatic vehicle location (AVL) solutions •Wireless enabled Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and/or IoT solutions

This customer-facing sales role requires the ability to interface effectively with high-profile customers in many areas of business, and to develop and articulate highly complex and configurable solutions that will enhance our customers' business metrics.
    •Engage with TELUS Account Executives & Managers and the greater account team to actively pursue a targeted list of customers to drive forward sales opportunities •Identify and initiate qualifying opportunities, and manage funnel for M2M applications & IoT solutions to meet growth and revenue commitments while underpinning our 'Customer First' priority •Develop lasting and valued business relationships with clients and industry influencers, ensuring TELUS' role as a trusted advisor •Maintain high levels of knowledge and expertise regarding our customers, their industries and ecosystems •Influence request for proposal (RFP) content, negotiate contracts, manage competition, and drive change as it relates to customers' strategic plans


Your ideal profile includes:
    •Proven background in developing new markets and proven strategic selling record, using structured sales methodologies such as on Target Account Selling (TAS) planning •Ability to discuss customer solution benefits with solid business/financial acumen •Strong decision making and problem solving skills: Determine the most appropriate solution and manage customer expectations through change management •Familiarity with M2M & IoT connectivity options including HSPA, LTE, Wi-Fi & low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) wireless technology and its applications

Professional Certification & Experience:
    •Post-secondary degree or equivalent •Minimum 3 years of sales experience in wireless, software and/or strategic sales •Mastery of the sales process: Ability to effectively and efficiently identify, qualify and close sales opportunities
