ITX Specialist Consultant - Onsite (Calgary/Winnipeg/Toronto)

On behalf of our transportation client, Brainhunter Systems Ltd. is seeking an experienced ITX Consultant for an upcoming 6 month contract opportunity with potential to extend.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Key responsibilities would be Develop, Review, Testing and Delivering quality projects meeting the business requirements for our business;

Key contribution areas will be as below

1. Requirement gathering;
2. Perform Proof of Concept;
3. Project development and execution;
4. Documenting and educating users;
5. Provide required support;

1. Requirement gathering:
This activity is to establish common understanding between the customer and the software project of the customer's requirements that will be addressed by the software project.
Tasks which are part of this activity are:
a. Attending requirement gathering workshops and collect data points from business;
b. Analyze the business requirements and convert them into system requirements.

2. Design and POCs:
Objective of design activity is to prepare the project design documents for the project implementation.
Objective of POCs activity is to build the Proof of Concept to evaluate the software and verification of solution.
Tasks which are part of this activity are:
a. Prepare Component Design Specification from Architecture Design Document;
b. Prepare Integration Requirements Specification & Technical Design specification from System Requirement document;
c. Design the interface and BPM workflows;
Build Proof of Concept in new features and enhanced version of WTX to do the final verification of the concepts from designs;

3. Project Development and Execution:
Objective of this activity is to prepare the design documents for the project implementation, develop POCs, Build solution component, Business User Acceptance testing and provide support for the Project Go-live.
Tasks:
a. Develop solution using core components;
b. Build interfaces in ITX and IFD flows using eclipse tool;
c. Prepare the Test cases, Test plan and Upload them in HPALM test lab;
d. Perform the unit testing and integration testing with multiple team;
e. Upload the test result in HPALM test for user validation and approval of solution;
f. Fix the defects identified during testing. Re-build the code & check-in in repository;
g. Coordinate with Business user for User Acceptance Testing;
h. Uploading and deploying code to GIT or SVN and Team city;
i. Get the approval once testing is completed to deploy the code in production system;
j. Create code and transport to GIT/SVN and get the code deployed in production environment;
k. Pro-actively monitor the interfaces and logs to ensure the system stability;
l. Ad-hoc support in case of any defects identified in system.

4. Documenting and Educating Users:
The usage process and how to use the application is documented as application support guide and is regularly updated with any changes. Meets the users to educate them on how to use the applications and functionalities.
Tasks:
a. Documenting the new functionalities, Sessions for users;
b. Perform peer and senior reviews.

5. Provide Required Support:
Provides necessary support for the users at any stage of using the applications developed. Makes sure the applications are running with proper alerting mechanisms that notifies in case of an improper behavior.
Tasks:
a. Application support activities including installing and maintain the application. Work closely with multiple stakeholders and client as required

Requirements (skills contractor should have):
- At least 7 years of experience with EAI Technologies in design and development;
- At least 5 years of experience with WTX 8.4 and higher OR IBM Transformation Extender in Development and Support projects;
- Design and development of Integration solutions using WTX 8.4 and higher OR IBM Transformation Extender;
- Support experience in WTX 8.4 and higher OR IBM Transformation Extender projects;
- Migration Experience in WTX 8.4 and higher OR IBM Transformation Extender projects;
- Knowledge of WTX 8.4 and higher OR IBM Transformation Extender Monitoring, Application Admin activities;
- Experience working with Trading Manager (Message Manager and Partner Manager).
- Understanding of EDI X12 Guidelines;
- Knowledge of SQL PL/SQL stored procedure;
- Knowledge of FTP,FTP(s),SFTP;
- Experience with Linux OS;
- Flexible to work in on call/support rotation;
- Good Communication skills. Should be able to communicate with business directly.
