A day in the life: - Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with various design and project activities in the office;
- Assist with preparing technical analysis and design;
- Assist with preparing technical reports;
- Prepare and review detailed design drawings;
- Assisting Field Inspectors onsite in construction coordination, inspection and construction survey on projects in Edmonton and Northern Alberta;
- Assisting Field Inspectors in resolving construction issues;
- Complete topographic surveys;
- Complete construction layout surveys; repeatedly installing hubs and lath;
- Daily progress and HSE reporting;
- Completion of construction as-built for record keeping/approval purposes.;
- Other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to WSP ... - 3rd year or higher student pursing your Civil Engineering Degree
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, including teamwork and interpersonal abilities;
- Comfortable in working independently in a field and/or office environment;
- During field work, able to work outside up to 12 hours per day when required and on Saturdays
- A suitable working vehicle and valid driver's license are required for this position.
