Land Development Engineering Student - WI 2024

A day in the life:

• Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with various design and project activities in the office;
• Assist with preparing technical analysis and design;
• Assist with preparing technical reports;
• Prepare and review detailed design drawings;
• Assisting Field Inspectors onsite in construction coordination, inspection and construction survey on projects in Edmonton and Northern Alberta;
• Assisting Field Inspectors in resolving construction issues;
• Complete topographic surveys;
• Complete construction layout surveys; repeatedly installing hubs and lath;
• Daily progress and HSE reporting;
• Completion of construction as-built for record keeping/approval purposes.;
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring to WSP ...

• 3rd year or higher student pursing your Civil Engineering Degree
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, including teamwork and interpersonal abilities;
• Comfortable in working independently in a field and/or office environment;
• During field work, able to work outside up to 12 hours per day when required and on Saturdays
• A suitable working vehicle and valid driver's license are required for this position.
