You will provide personalized lending services, fulfill sales and growth needs in lending, while uncovering and recommending value added services, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure top-notch customer service. The contact center operates on a six-day shift, 12 hours per day, flexibility in working shifts of varying hours and a knack for dealing with customers effectively are essential.

    What you'll get to do:

  • Accurately and promptly process all administrative transactions related to the credit function such as: completing the payment alteration form related to payment suspensions, reductions, frequency and interest rates, internal and external pre-authorized payment changes, interest paid statements and booking retail branch lending appointments when requested.
  • Where appropriate, and in conjunction with the Contact Centre Management Team, be actively involved in the community to foster the image and reputation of Coast Capital Savings (CCS).
  • Provides coaching, training, and mentorship to peers, encouraging and providing cross-sharing of knowledge, on-the job applications and experience among team members and between teams.
  • Provide high quality lending advice and services to customers specific to lending and banking products.
  • Through inbound and outbound telephone contact contributing significantly towards growth and retention.
  • Consistently achieves sales and referral targets in a needs-based sales environment, contributing significantly to the growth in business.
  • Manage the relationship building process to ensure a consistent image in service and delivery both externally, to attract new members, and internally to retain and build on previously established relationships with Coast Capital Saving.
  • Accountable for ensuring all transactions comply with CCS policies and procedures while adhering to external regulatory guidelines.

  • Who are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 4 - 6 years of direct sales experience in Financial Services with an emphasis on sales and service in a lending capacity or successful completion of the corporate approved lending program.
  • High School Diploma with some formal post-secondary education (minimum certificate level) in the areas of banking, lending, financial planning, business, commerce, entrepreneurship, finance, or marketing. Formal Diploma and/or Degree Program are assets. Personal pursuit of additional education in preparation for further growth opportunities is expected.
  • Proficient knowledge in all relevant banking technology systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable word-processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Solid understanding and up-to-date knowledge of all Coast Capital products and services.
  • Proficient understanding of credit products and services to identify opportunities and make quality referrals.
  • Demonstrated sales skills and producing results.
  • Completion of the Core Banking Development Program and the Credit Skills Development Program.
  • Ability to build productive customer relationships and deal effectively and promptly with customer complaint.
  • Able to effectively multi-task, prioritize with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbally and written communications.
