Light Duty Mechanic Needed for West- Central Alberta Open Pit Mine Operation
Your new company
Located in West-Central Alberta, the company has been in operation for over 30 years utilising draglines for coal removal. The mine exports bituminous coal both locally and to Asian markets.
Your new role
As a Light Duty Mechanic, you will perform duties such as troubleshooting, diagnostics and fault finding on the Mine's F150 to F550 Truck fleet (around 70 trucks). You will preform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner recharges, front end alignments, battery installations and headlight/taillight installations.
What you'll need to succeed
As a successful candidate, you will have your Red Seal Certification with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience, preferably within an open pit mine-setting. You will also have a valid drivers' license with no suspensions, and lead by example when it comes to safety in the work place.
What you'll get in return
In return for your hard work, you will be on a 4/4 rotating schedule, working straight days. You will receive a competitive rate of $48.46/hour, along will full benefits and employer RRSP contributions. The company has a "family feel", so you will be an integral member of a growing team.
