As a Machinist at OEM Remanufacturing, you will be responsible for operating machine tools to manufacture direct materials and salvage worn parts for use in the remanufacturing process.

Job Description:
  • Perform salvage techniques on horizontal Lathes and Radial Arm Drills, Milling Machines, and Surface Grinders; basic operation of CNC equipment (Mills and Lathes)
  • Maintain and clean equipment as required
  • Maintain Caterpillar contamination control initiatives

  • Minimum 5 years of recent machining experience; journeyperson certification or apprenticeship would be an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of recent Experience operating horizontal Lathes and Radial Arm Drills, Milling Machines, and Surface Grinders
  • Previous experience with CNC vertical and horizontal Mills and CNC Vertical and Horizontal Lathes an asset
  • Competency in a machine shop environment
  • Must be able to understand salvage specifications and related technical documentation
  • Must have accurate documentation and measuring skills
  • Experience in a Lean Environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment without supervision
  • Ability to lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures

  • We are currently recruiting for positions on both our Afternoon and Weekend shifts:
    • Static Afternoon shift runs Monday-Thursday, 10 hours per day
    • Static Weekend shift runs Friday-Sunday, 12 hours per day
  • Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
  • Hourly Rate: $34.18 - $48.58 / Hour
