Methanex is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Medicine Hat, AB on a full-time basis.

The Maintenance Technician provides support to all Methanex personnel and contractors within the scope of performing authority and specialized equipment operation to fulfil tasks to maintain a productive, clean, and safe workplace.

This is an entry level position with a potential long-term objective of developing into an apprentice for one of the maintenance trades on-site.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have at least 3 years of work experience in a related field. Equipment Training/Operator certificates and Safety Training certificates are not required but will absolutely be considered an asset.

You will also possess:

  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a team environment or individually.
  • Dedicated to meeting the needs of internal and external key contacts.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Basic handyman skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Driver’s license (Class 5).
