Our team works directly with the Executive Vice President, Broadband Networks, and senior leaders across the organization to enable innovation in the delivery of education, healthcare solutions and consumer & business products and services while putting Canadian communities at the forefront of the emerging digital economy. The specific area of transformation you will be facilitating is winning market share in our small, medium and enterprise business markets.YOU get to:
•Develop end to end plan and schedule for the delivery of up to 100K per year
•Set the direction for all key streams that contribute to the premise delivery
•Set, Manage and control capital budgets associated with the delivery of premises (Up to $250M annually)
•Develop/enhance working knowledge of subject matter to support team members in developing innovative concepts and new ideas
•Frequently interact with team members and peers at management level to gain co-operation of others Key Accountabilities:
•Develops and executes on a robust end to end plan at community level to support broadband build
•Sets up a well-integrated plan for inside build, outside build and power reliability that support the launch of the community for fiber enabled services aligned with our market outcome goals
•Proactively assesses and manages risks across all streams (inside build, outside build, materials availability, capital approvals)
•Diligently manage capital budget associated with community level fiber over build; this includes assessment of quotes, change orders and invoices
•Frequently interacts with team members, peers and partners at management levels; interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc
•Oversee and support the implementation of new initiative/process evolution, ensuring operational readiness in terms of team member levels, skills, tools, and processes that will guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction and business benefit
•Initiates and supports automation activities aimed at reducing manual transactions
•Provide day to day leadership support to a geographically diverse team
•Support monthly reporting and dashboard metrics
•Conduct root-cause analysis for inefficiencies and implement improvementsQualifications:What YOU Bring:
•Superior understanding of telecommunication networks, business planning and large scale capital programs
•Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate ideas, concepts or complex issues in a clear and concise manner to internal and external audiences
•Relationship building skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels inside and outside the organization
•Ability to inspire and to motivate others towards high performance and transformation
•Ability to see "Big Picture"
•Project management methods, principles and practices; a demonstrated ability to execute on complex projects, to ensure project timelines are met and deliverables are realized or exceeded
•Ability to work effectively with various levels of executive management and cross-functional teams; comfortable working with all levels of management across the organization
•Ability to lead multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams in a matrix structure
•Experience leading a highly engaged team is considered an asset
•Highly self-directed with the ability to work in the face of ambiguity and complexity
•Openness to feedback and guidance from more senior level executives
•Ability to work collaboratively with different groups in the organization to drive organizational priorities and reach consensus-based decisions
•Highly skilled in developing and implementing large scale capital programs (Broadband build related experience is preferred)
•University/Master's degree/Technical Diploma in related field of study
•MBA is desirable 7+ of progressive Project management and capital execution, including leading geographically dispersed/virtual teams
•Track record in delivering on objectives within time, quality and cost frameworks
