Our client is a Canadian-owned and operated retail organization with multiple locations in Western Canada. They are actively seeking an experienced, accountable and detailed CPA to join their growing company as the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional to join a fantastic organization and team of ambitious professionals and work directly with senior executives. The role is focused on technical business planning and providing ongoing financial guidance and analysis to the leadership team.

Location: Richmond, BC

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Advise and collaborate with the executive leadership and the overall team to deliver on strategic initiatives
    Provide ongoing financial support and thorough budgeting, forecasting and analysis to the executive leadership team
  • Establish and enforce policies around all financial matters to ensure company targets are being reached
  • Provide accurate and prompt financial reporting to the executive leadership and the overall team
  • Lead the team in implementing the changeover from their current software to a new business analytics service
  • Manage and develop the organizations existing models to ensure sustainable long-term growth
  • Provide employees with a consistent method for the preparation of financial documentation and analyses
  • Lead and support a team of FA’s through guidance and mentorship

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in financial sector with at least 2 years in a similar role
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • CPA (CA, CGA or CMA) Designation
  • Strong ability to interpret and analyze complex financial information
  • Previous experience with executing corporate policies
  • You are highly adaptable and have a strong ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive, pressured environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must
  • A strong ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with both employees and stakeholders
  • Exceptional organizational and presentation skills
  • Power-user proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
