The Customer Solutions Delivery (CSD) Construction and Capital Management team is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and driven individual to join our team as a Manager of Operations. Reporting to Director - Construction for Customer Solutions Delivery Alberta the successful candidate will work to drive process alignment and excellence in field execution for our customers.
What is Customer Solutions Delivery/Construction and Capital Management?
CSD is the operations team that focuses on the delivery of our mass-market consumer services, both install and repair, in addition to building, maintaining and upgrading our wireline network. The CSD leadership team is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience in the field in addition to overseeing effective service delivery and fulfillment, ensuring efficient operations, and driving the overall penetration of our consumer services in Alberta and British Columbia.
The Construction and Capital Management Team is a newly formed Team to create a focused environment on Construction as well as the enablement teams that support the building of our Network. This an exciting opportunity to be part of a new organization with focus on our customer, business and team and the work we do to support these three pillars.
With over 2,500 team members and 2,000 partners across Canada, the CSD team is working in our communities, to ensure a full portfolio of communication and entertainment services for the benefit of our business and consumer customers.Responsibilities:
•Ensuring employee engagement, support and recognition is a priority and carried through the regional Construction teamQualifications:Required Education:
•Building and leading a high performing team of Construction managers to deliver operational excellence
•Build a roadmap with projects and initiatives to deliver operational excellence in our process as measured by unit costs, quality and cycle time to complete
•Support the construction operation in Alberta, helping us deliver cost effective, high quality networks (both wireline and wireless) for the benefit of our customers
•In collaboration with upstream process owners, address key work process opportunities that help us remove impediments to unit cost, cycle time and quality
•Deliver on our customer experience measures such as, In-service Dates Met, financial commitments, operational KPIs and strong people engagement for the region
•Benchmark to understand best in class performance and creating a plan to address our biggest opportunities will be key
•Process alignment (e.g. Workload meetings, resource planning, materials management, etc) based on regional best practices to help us continue to further optimize the operation
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience
•MBA would be considered an asset Required Skills & Abilities:

•Proven data analysis and problem-solving abilities
•Proven ability to lead cross-functional team initiatives
•Thorough understanding of organizational process design

•Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
•Superior communication, presentation and relationship building skills with all levels of the organization
•Comfortable presenting recommendations to both internal and external senior leaders
•Ability to develop strong partnerships with both internal and external business leaders
•7+ years in business/financial management, operations, project/program management, or management consulting Who is TELUS?

•Experience in telecommunications - outside and inside plant would be consider a strong asset
•Experience in working with cross-functional teams
