Position Overview:The Manager of Sales Tools and Insights will be instrumental in creating the required customer centric workflows, tools, and culture to improve Finning's customer solutions delivery. This role seeks out the best sales practices and tools from various industries, and makes recommendations for deployment at Finning. Tools and processes created support the insights required by sales staff and leaders to drive revenue.

Job Description:

  • Create the strategy for sales tools and how they integrate across all sales divisions (CI, RI, PS, TCRS, Aftermarket, Technology, Enterprise, CX, Used).
  • Identification of tools and process areas for enhancement and continuous improvement to provide incremental value.
  • Partner with Finning Digital team to strategize on Sales Tool design and integration.
  • Strategy to support enablement of KPI measurements. Support KPI definitions and implementation.
  • Evaluation and alignment with CAT MSEP (marketing and sales excellence).
  • Global workstream lead for Canada for Sales Excellence Operational global program.
  • Research best practices and recommendation of best-in-class sales tools and processes for implementation. Create strategy execution plans for practices, while managing various key stakeholders from digital, supply chain, sales, finance, and HR.
  • Subject matter expert for FINCA or Global tool solution sales tool initiatives.
  • Develop required RACI profiles to ensure stakeholders understand expectations and support senior stakeholder management.
  • Translate sales business requirements to digital and analytical teams for tool solution production.
  • Ensure risks are regularly assessed and mitigated to ensure successful implementation
  • Change management: Create the CM strategy and execution plan for developed tools, launches, and sustainability for success.
  • Project management throughout the implementation and control phases of tools / process / policy development
  • Accountable for strategic change management and effective implementation plans for transformational sales tools, process, and policies at agreed to dates.
  • Dynamic strategic alignment across a matrix sales organization (CI, RI, Used, Technology, CX, TCRS, Power Systems, Enterprise Accounts, Aftermarket).
  • Accountable to design workflow processes within the organization.
  • Resource and organizational development and alignment.
  • Accountable for communications and measuring desired results.
  • Provides ongoing leadership for resources supporting the design, implementation, and sustainability of tools and processes.
  • Leads Bold Goal workstream for Sales Excellence in FINCA
  • Collaborate with key senior stakeholders to create and implement sales policies.
  • Ongoing leadership to analysts and CRM team lead.

Education and Experience:
  • Post-secondary certificate or degree.
  • 7 plus years of working experience with CRM tools and outcomes.
  • Minimum of 10 years working with sales data analytics and insights.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading/supervising and developing others.
  • A minimum of 5 years project or program management experience with complex business solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of various productivity programs including; Microsoft Office Suite; project management tools and software.
  • Extensive knowledge of analytical tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Understanding of CRM systems and suite of potential deliverables.
  • Solid knowledge of various project management methodologies including business improvement methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with senior level stakeholders (SVP, VP, GM).
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong political savvy skills.
  • Accountability for defining sales tools and insights strategy, measures of success (KPIs) and enablement of KPIs.
